Lac Courte Oreilles & Little Lac Courte Oreilles 2018 Aquatic Plant Survey Report
To assess the state of the current plant communities, full point-intercept surveys were completed by Wisconsin Lake and Pond Resource, LLC on July 23-25, 2018 for Lac Courte Oreilles and on from July 25-26, 2018 for Little Lac Courte Oreilles. From the summary: “Because of COLA’s proactive approach in dealing with AIS, the current populations of CLP within the Lake are decreasing, improving the health and ecosystem overall. However, the Lac Courte Oreilles Lakes Association should continue to be involved in some type of aquatic plant management program to help manage invasive aquatic plant growth … This should occur through a two-pronged approach of augmenting the native plant community while targeting reductions in the invasive plants.” The complete report is available here.
